Television and Stereo Instructions
Televisions in Billiard Area
The two high televisions in the corners of the Billiard Area are controlled by a single remote control. It is located on one of the window sills of the awing windows beside the pool table. Turn each T.V. on and adjust the channels to your liking. Leave the remote on the window sill after use.
If you prefer, use the remote to mute either or both of the TV’s as is done in a sports bar.
Large Screen TV
The large screen TV is controlled by the Sony remote labeled ‘T.V. Remote.’ It is located on the round coffee table in front of the TV.
a. Watch TV – turn on power button. If necessary press the ‘TV/Video’ button on the remote control until you find the screen showing regular cable television. The ‘TV/Video’ button is located on the top row of buttons on the remote.
b. Watch a DVD – turn on television power button. Open the cabinet below the television and turn on power to the DVD Player. Insert DVD into player. From the TV remote press the ‘TV/Video’ button until reaching the screen on the television labeled ‘Video 4.’
If you would like to run a DVD through the surround sound system do the following:
Turn on the stereo located under the DVD player. Do not fiddle with anything other than the knobs with the yellow and red stickers.
Turn the red knob so that it highlights the input device ‘DVD Auto.’
Turn the yellow knob until it states ‘surr sound.’
Some DVD discs will automatically make the adjustment to ‘pro-logic’ or some other decoding setting. This is okay. For best results use the sony remote to turn the sound to zero on the television and adjust the sound using the stereo receiver.
Listen to Music
Warning – don’t press any buttons or knobs on the stereo receiver other than the six that are marked. It won’t help.
a. Listen to the Radio.
Turn on the stereo receiver in the cabinet under the Large screen TV. Use the knob with the red sticker to select ‘Tuner.’ Use the tuning buttons to pick your radio station (these buttons are marked with a red square piece of tape). Do not fiddle with the knobs or buttons other that the ones marked.
To listen to the speaker in the kitchen/dining/billiard area/porch use the dial labeled ‘rec out/zone 2.’ It is marked with a square of red tape. Set the dial to ‘Tuner.’ This will allow you to listen to the remote speakers.
After the ‘rec out/zone 2’ dial has been set correctly find the white ‘a-bus’ volume control pads in each respective area. The ‘a-bus’ location is where you turn on the remote speakers and adjust the volume. Don’t forget to turn off the porch speakers when you come inside.
b. Listen to a C/D.
The DVD player on top of the stereo receiver will play Compact Discs (C/D’s). You will be using the DVD player as your input device so use the red knob on the stereo receiver to set the input device to ‘DVD Auto.’
Open the DVD player and insert your compact disc (C/D). Press play on the DVD player.
Use the knob with the yellow sticker to select you listening program. For best results use the one labeled ‘Stereo 7 Chnl.’ This allows you to hear all speakers at one time.
To listen to the speaker in the kitchen/dining/billiard area/porch use the dial labeled ‘rec out/zone 2.’ It is marked with a square of red tape. Set the dial to ‘DVD.’ This will allow you to listen to the remote speakers.
After the ‘rec out/zone 2’ dial has been set correctly find the white ‘a-bus’ volume control pads in each respective area. The ‘a-bus’ location is where you turn on the remote speakers and adjust the volume. Don’t forget to turn off the porch speakers when you come inside.
